Rules question regarding the Hardcore’s move, Red means Green: Can I use +look whenever i would be using any other stat or is it the other way around? Or both?

I’m sure the answer is bloody obvious but when english is the secondary language for the whole group we can come into these sort of conversations :p

  1. You replace another stat with +Look – for example, if you’re bleeding in the match and go to Work the Audience, you’d roll +Look instead of +Audience, or if you Break Kayfabe you’d roll +Look instead of +Real!

    Does that answer your question?

  2. From what I understand, you add +Look to every roll. The idea is that as long as you are a spectacular bleeding maniac, it’s enough to cover up your lack of in-ring skills 😉

  3. Since we’re on that topic: I play a hardcore wrestler with that ability, only he’s stuck with the gimmick and wants to evolve into something more. It’s my way of adding some character depth and something to aspire to, but it’s an issue to be considered by players and Creative alike. One, in order to avoid abusing the ability and two, because frankly, no wrestler enjoys blading himself every night

  4. It’s a useful move, but there are fictional drawbacks built in. You can’t use at the Boys and Girls club, the Technicos may get upset, and your forehead begins to look like Abdullah the Butcher.
