Okay, the last time I was here I received a lot of help, so I’ll ask again the help of you guys, is there any Playbook that simulates martial artists? Type the Bruce Le and Jack Chan interpret? Thank you help!

  1. Hmm…  no, I don’t think so. There’s some which can be partly that, but not any that are primarily martial arts based. You might need to make your own!

Of the existing playbooks, the Luchador is probably closest, and the Hard Case maybe second. But neither is quite what you are looking for.

  2. I could actually see the monstrous. In a recent reskinning essay I theorized you could take Pure Drive: Duty as a weakness for a person who’s been a battlefield participant from an extremely early age. Then use Unholy Strenth or Claws of the Beast to represent martial training along with the chosen natural weapon.

I figure or would be a good way to model characters like Ranma Saotome as well. Pure Drive: Pride. Or Pure Drive: Battle.

  3. Any of these characters can be used as a shounen-inspired character…or seinen.

Rin Tohsaka would be a good example of the Expert (For all that she’s 18)

Saber could be either the Exile or the Wounded

Emiya Shirou on first look seems to be The Mundane but might be a good version of The Chosen.

  4. Just did a write up of Saber from Fate-Stay night and plotted a theoretical career of shifting playbooks up through the start of F/SN where Shirou’s weak mana and screwed up summoning puts her back to a starting character.
