About time travel as a power

About time travel as a power

During the last session we started character creation. One of my players chose time travel as a power for her character.

Have you any suggestion to deal with such a power during the game? I mean: time travel always implies more than one timeline and this could be difficult to deal with.

I would only like to hear if you had superheroes with time travel powers and how did you managed them.

  1. I’ve only really dealt with Time Travel as a power with speedsters or with teleporters and it’s always been at the Possible or Borderline level in their Profile so it wan’t something they were doing constantly and wasn’t there main thing.

    The concerns there would be spotlight time – if they zip off into the past or future or whatever, and the other players can’t, then it’s going to mean having to jump back and forth a lot. 

    I could see a more manageable profile being something like Simple being able to jump 30 seconds back or forward kinda thing and that would just manifest similarly to being a speedster or teleporter right, they’ll be dodging and moving around and to the enemies it’ll look like they can read their every move or be be disappearing and reappearing in other places. Then maybe at higher levels they can take a whole group back or forward, and that could be a fun campaign thing to do. Like maybe they zip back or forward on a miss or something and see all this bad stuff go down or, for whatever reason, they all need to go into the past or future to save their current timeline or something? That would be a lot of fun.
