  1. If there’s no chance of things going wrong, then there’s no imminent danger and no move is triggered. If the hero sometimes has trouble controlling their powers, or difficulty doing a lot of bullets, or can’t control the trajectory of the bullets when deflected (and so puts someone else in danger possibly), or there are other possible sources of danger, then maybe there’s call for a Defy Danger.

    Whenever there’s the possibility of Defying Danger, the Danger (and so the consequences of the move if failed) should be obvious and stated outright before rolling the dice. If the consequences aren’t interesting or serious, or it’s a mob, or you otherwise want the player to feel cool then simply narrate past it.
