  1. The show’s card pacing was super awkward, but Ziggler/Miz was the most emotionally involved I’ve been in an angle/match in a long time.

I couldn’t really get into anything after that and it was hard to get into a lot of other matches besides the World Title/preshow matches due to the card placement? Maybe lack of interest? IDK I didn’t feel like the matches were bad, just put in an awkward spot…

    Regardless SmackDown! is killing it!

  2. I liked the matches in a vaccuum but the pacing was hard for me to focus on. But I also was in a grumpy mood already so it’s hard to tell how much my reaction was colored by that.

Loved the title match tho! More big matches at the top of shows, I say!

  3. I liked the work of most of the matches, but the storytelling and card layout really ruined it for me.

No problem with the title match first, it was weird, but then I thought “Awesome! Miz is going to retire Ziggler in the main event!”

Then it wasn’t the main event. So much for trying to elevate the IC title.

Then the end of that match combined with the end of the Alexa Bliss match combined with the actual main event and I’m just super disappointed, it’s like Smackdown doesn’t want me to care about no. 1 contenders, or the IC title.

  4. Yeah honestly I think things got flubbed by Becky’s injury, but there was no reason the IC Title should have been anything but the main event.

Still, the flow of the matches wasn’t nearly as disturbed live as it might have been watching at home…the only problem was the Naomi/Bliss match was a bit of a bummer.
