Hey, just a quick question: is it possible to play World Wide Wrestling with more than 8 people controlling user characters? I remember the game saying 2-8 user wrestlers, but I wanted to see if I could have more than that in there (doing a multi-Discord server wide game and didn’t know what the true limit was)

  1. I mean you could use all 20+ core, expanded and user playbooks from this forum. But it ups the potential of clusterfucks with 2+ people running in per matches.

  2. It’s better to have one GM tho who can book twists and turns, and get a sense of how the players actually wrestle! I wouldn’t book a backstage seg that doesn’t reflect an in ring thing.

  3. Yeah, the higher end is mostly a bandwidth concern for Creative – I’ve run one convention game with 10 players and there’s just only so much ability to keep track of the action and make sure everyone’s getting on screen the way they want too.

If you’re playing asynchronous or have multiple GMs or whatever, there’s no real mechanical reason to limit the group size! Maybe a house rule about run-ins (which could be problematic as Adam Goldberg notes) – I’d suggest something like “you can only make the Run In Move if you have +2 or more Heat with the wrestler you’re running in on”, or even a hard cap of no more than 2 run-ins on one match if it’s getting out of hand.

  4. Oh, see because I was playing on a Discord group and wanted to know about it (I’m playing as creative and we’re mostly playing it for the memes), so TY very much
