Can someone answer a couple of questions about The Empath:
Why does the Empath have so many ways to gain Flow but can only expend it by using Charge Object and Sling?
In the book, the example suggests that you can choose how much Flow goes into Sling but a previous post here by the author suggests that you must use all of it. The playbook doesn’t list a cost. Which is correct?
Is Poison tipped flechette magnum/Plasma six-shooter a single gear option or an error?

There’s more ways to get Flow so people can play the playbook a lot of different ways and still get Flow, not relying on Absorb only.
That’s an error, when the PDF was exported it bundled them together for some reason. I’ll export again today and update it.
In 2nd printing it’ll be you use all of the Flow since there’s a lot more ways to get it, as you say. First you chose because you maybe didn’t have much, depending on how you used Absorb.

One question: is there any place one can check an up-to-date errata for The Veil? My physical copy didn’t come with the pdf.

My wife bought it in Canada for me this Summer when she was visiting some friends there. The shop name was 401 Games, in Toronto. I paid for it from Finland, so I should have the recipe somewhere. Should they have given me a pdf link too?

I am not sure, I think they use the Brick and Mortar program or something, but just shoot us a message and we will hook you up with the files most definitely. You need the digital copy for the playbooks, ref sheets, etc.

Fraser Simons Is Absorb supposed to be a starting move?
Nope! Shouldering the burden is how you’ll get Flow now, then you can choose whatever move you want customizing the specific kind of Empath you want to be. It can go in a lot more directions now whereas before it kind of choked you into always absorbing, maybe without consent and it kinda made for weird fiction in some cases.
If you liked the Empath before the tweak, I purposefully left the first printing sheets in DrivethruRPG as well, people can choose which they prefer.
No, I was just asking because the way Flow is designed is a little odd compared to Humanity and Essence. I just wanted to get a clarification before I run the game.
