It made me wonder if it would be fun to run a series of adventures that would represent films setting up a dceu the way “we” would like to do it.

I have a few ideas about how this might work. Does this idea interest anyone?

  1. Curious how that would work, since part of the appeal of a budding cinematic universe is adding new characters as you go along. Though I guess it would support an unstable drop-in drop-out player roster? What exactly did you have in mind?

  2. Well I used to do this thing called living city. I think it’s a John Wick idea. But anyway, PCs would play an iconic hero in their solo “movie” and in team “movies” and a few supporting characters for the other PCs as well.

I’m still brainstorming the idea, though.

  3. Hi – this sounds interesting.

Although my excitement for the movies (both Marvel and DC) has fizzled out, I’m still a fan of super-powered heroes. (Coincidentally, I purchased WiP just a couple weeks ago – so this is timely!)

To get a better sense of your vision for this, would the setting be in the DC universe, adapting existing locations and characters? Or did you mean that it would be DC-like (i.e. players and MC would be doing more world-building)? Can you expand on this some more?

  4. Eduardo L. I just realized I never answered. My idea is that the stories would be about redoing cinematic versions of actual DC characters to build a new version of the DCEU.
