Does anyone have recommendations for software that will make it relatively easy? I was considering a OneNote canvas or maybe MindMap software.

  1. I’ve done a little fiddling with this. It’s pretty, and pretty powerful, but you’ll need to play with it a bit in order to get it to do what you want.

I think the biggest disappointments I’ve had with it are:

    1) You can’t crop or scale portraits post-upload, so you have to get them sized/positioned correctly before adding them. It’s a pain.

    2) Relationships are… un-intuitive.

    3) The generic tags functionality is less than ideal. For things like that you might want to organize the diagram by, like faction or PC vs. NPC, you probably want to make custom properties. Tags are (as far as I can tell) only useful for applying custom formatting to the icons and relationships.

  2. I will have to check that out when I get home. I am in the hospital recovering from a hip replacement and they block that site.

I found this Mindmapping software (KnowledgeBase Builder) on the Windows store and so far is seems to do what I need. It’s also a little finnicky, but I like it ok. Plus it’s a local install so all my images stay local and I can crop as I need.

I color coded the lines so that:

    – White = Neutral

    – Yellow = Slightly contencious

    – Red = Negative

    – Green = Positive

I will likely drop the yellow.
