Question about Hustling:
Does it activate before the very first mission?
if No, wouldn’t it better if it activated before the first mission to cover Only-one-mission games?
if Yes, please confirm, as we got this very doubt in our the sprawl campaign 🙂
As written, I take it to mean that the move does not happen before the first mission – the “between missions” qualifier is how I’ve been playing it. In practice, I would leave it to the discretion of the MC. If you would like your players to start the one-shot with a slight advantage in terms of credits, gear, or intel, have the Fixer roll it. If you don’t want to spend the extra time dealing with negative consequences, skip it. I don’t think it’s particularly game-making or game-breaking in either case, so it really falls to what the MC thinks is most feasible and most thematically satisfying.
I let them use it in the first mission. Since it can generate Intel and Gear, there seems to be no sense denying them the use of a class ability.
