I’m really hoping to make a Wendingo Monster for my players and while I have almost everything set out, I can’t find a good Weakness no matter how much I look into the lore. Do any of you have any ideas?

  1. If it used to be human and was transformed, make the hunters find out who it was and perform some sort of ritual involving people and/or objects from their past.

  2. Wendigos are sometimes associated with cannibalism. Maybe there’s a particular type of meat (either species or specific type of human or specific individual) that harms them.

  3. Found this online, it’s a lot, but you could pick and choose:

“If you can’t outrun a wendigo, can you outgun it? Not easily. A wounded wendigo simply regenerates. The trick is to employ silver bullets, or a pure silver blade or stake, and strike right through the wendigo’s ice-cold heart. (Note: It’s widely believed a silver-covered steel blade could work if you’re in a pinch.)

Upon wounding the wendigo’s heart, you must take care to shatter it into pieces, then lock the shattered heart in a silver box and bury it in a church cemetery.

Not one to seek a simple end, the rest of the wendigo must be dismembered with a silver-plated axe so you can salt and burn the body, and then scatter its ashes to the winds. Or, as a second option, bury the pieces in a remote location.”

  4. Wendigo are creatures of pure and uninhibited appetite for the flesh of their own kind. They have preternatural power and speed to consume the flesh they crave so deeply, and the hungrier they are, the stronger they become in their frenzied desire to feed.

You must find a way to starve them. A starved wendigo is a dangerous wendigo. You must take care, because the next step is tricky: once starved, you must disembowel it completely, and once its emptied stomach is removed, kill the damnable creature thoroughly..

And don’t be fooled – a half-done job will just give the creature time to regenerate and, once it has risen and eaten, it might well come looking for the one that nearly killed it.
