What gimmick would y’all use for a Johnny Gargano/NXT Sami Zayn white meat babyface that the crowd loves? I’ve thought about Golden Boy without using the Special Snowflake move or maaaaybe the Indie Darling, but I don’t think either of them line up as well as I’d like.

It’s gotta be indie darling. Golden Boy’s default work is too low. High Flyer could also do it with just a little tweaking.
Indie Darling works pretty well if the Promotion they are now in, is a WWE style big corporation.
Golden Boy also works really well too.
The major problem is narrowing real people to one specific playbook, as often they are multiple mixtures of playbooks. A white meat babyface can be any gimmick, as gimmicks are just archetypes.
Technician: they are both very good wrestlers?
Could you create a custom gimmick? Taking certain moves from other gimmicks to create Gargano or zayn?
I think that, while the moves or the type of gimmick is of course important in trying to make a white meat babyface, the key factor is how the player RP’s as them, and that could be done with several gimmicks, IMO.
