About Get Mixed Up

The trigger condition is: When you Get Mixed Up in another PC’s affairs

So when Bob comes running to my door, bloodied and chased by Ghouls i get mixed up in his affairs right? That is what normal english language would say. However giving him +1 or -2 is irrelevant in this case. STill i would need to roll.

Of course we could agree that i don’t need to roll because it makes no sense mechanically but “when you do it, you do it”. Or am i overthinking this?

  1. You’re not over-thinking it. The move was meant to be a Help/Interfere but focused on getting involved in people’s business, so you could only roll it when you were actively messing with their affairs.

I think we’ll need to look at the wording again and edit it a bit. Thanks again.

  2. William, yes you are right, more or less. The implication of the move is that if your Fae is convinced by my Hunter to come help with me something, that you can Get Mixed Up with me to mess with my rolls but I cannot do the same to you. This is my business we’re dealing with, and that gives you more freedom to muck about in it.

  3. I love the Dragon. We just wrapped up a campaign a couple weeks back where The Dragon and The Hallowed (who was a descendant of St. George and was in possession of his dragon-slaying sword, Ascalon) had to go head-to-head because they were both drawn into a conflict neither of them wanted to be a part of. It was so tragic as two good friends were torn apart by politics. So yeah, I like the Dragon a lot. 🙂
