East Coast Wrestling Federation

Just did character creation and a short series of exhibition matches.

The Hardcore Furiosa won her Squash match against Iron Irene a Jobber (NPW) with a throwback USSR gimmick.

In a grudge match Terrible Tyrone Biggins (PW – Wasted gimmick) defeated his former mentor, The Penultimate Mohican (PW – Veteran Gimmick).

We had a good time with over the top descriptions, but it seems like The Hardcore is disappointed she didn’t get to 4 Audience tonight. So I’m going to have to get her heat with Iron Irene to 4 and put her in a match. She did an awesome thing where she cut off her show closing promo by unplugging the Titan Tron on live TV.

So, any suggestions on putting The Hardcore over or should I mix up the rivalries so she’s playing with a PW next week?

  1. To get the audience, you gotta work a few spots and Revel in Violence. I found the hardcore gain audience too quick (with constantly Reveling in Violence on a 10+), so IDK.

  2. Thanks! I missed that rule. I’ll make the player aware of it and remind the group as a whole that “winning” isn’t about getting advances at an equal rate.

  3. Heat-filled matches, breaking Kayfabe, and hitting your finisher all build that audience. Another obscure rule: your heat goes down 1 with anyone you don’t interact with in a show.

  4. In general, any feud with multiple players will get them more advances than any feud with a NPW, and it’s really stark in a three-player game. You can manage this by rotating who’s facing who per session. But yeah, the basic build Heat with your opponent -> get Audience from wrestling them cycle is probably worth emphasizing, as well. And using their Babyface/Heel move to just spend Momentum to get Heat is a way to do that often overlooked by new players!
