Anyone run Night Witches as a longcon game? 3-4 sessions of 3-4 hours each? Any thoughts on that format?

Last night, at Clifftop Academy:

Zachariah returns from traveling in Europe with his mother and Alessandra, whose family has “mysteriously disappeared.” Chloe gets in even deeper with an ever-more-desperate Dr. Morton/Connoisseur, who somehow know that his heart has been found and wants it back. She searches for Danae, who is still nowhere to be found. Nixon prowls around creepily at night, and meets the Caretaker, who convinces him to help her dig up bodies, drive silver nails into trees in Gatineau Wood, and stalk the boundaries of the Hydrus estate, clipping padlocks to the wrought-iron fence. Burton starts feeling like he’s losing control of the Hive, as the Artifact stops talking to him, and Heath breaks up with Kelly. Perhaps choosing Dr. Morton as an enemy was an even more rash decision than it seemed on the surface!

Zach entreats his mother to allow Chloe access to the Seeress, the eldest of the female Hydri, and the only one who can calm the Elder Serpents when they stir. Chloe, desperate to rid herself of Morton’s influence — and the ever-stalking presence of Primus, the Doctor’s familiar — agrees to the meeting, once she can find a suitable sacrifice.

Burton tries to report his successes to the artifact, and in return is granted a chilling vision of a wooden box, buried under an old maple, filled with malevolent power, and guarded by a silver wolf… and a familiar black dog.

Zach, too, sees a vision of the future: Alessandra, carrying a wombful of snakes, becoming more fully-transformed by the blood of the Failing Dynasty.

Heath asks Chloe to the Valentine’s Dance, and Serina asks Nixon, offering to “goth him up” a bit.

Anybody in Calgary, Alberta, or surroundings, that would like to pool resources to save on shipping? If we can get 5 together, we can order the Mayor level for $22 each instead of the $35 each of the Mixed Up level.

When trying to get back to Coney Island, roll + Hot. On a 7-9, choose two. On a 10+, all three.

I’m likely going to be running short game of Monster Hearts at a new local gaming convention later this month.

I’m likely going to be running short game of Monster Hearts at a new local gaming convention later this month. I’m thinking of assembling a few list of 5 skins from the core book, the limited edition skins, and Skins for the Skinless. I’m hoping to build them around themes, so that the group can pick a theme, and I can give them a pack of skins that will help the game focus on those themes (like, for example, violence might use Chosen, Fury, Ghoul, Mortal, Werewolf).

Anyone have any ideas for theme lists?
