Has anyone tried this? Is it madness?

Each mission has several tasks/obstacles that need doing/overcoming/bypassing. You get xp when you do that. When the last one is done the mission is complete.

Across the whole life of the mission all 6- rolls tick the mission clock and trigger a hard move.

When dealing with an obstacle any 7-9 result ticks the mission clock once for that whole scene (even if multiple 7-9s are rolled, the clock is only ticked once).

So PCs know when the mission clock will tick.

I’ll let you know how it goes.

Hi all. Is there any interest in playing The Sprawl on Rolegate?

I’m looking for just one PC to play a duet game. Probably only one scene/move per day, missions tailored to whatever playbook you take. I can commit to a slow game but not a medium or fast game.

I usually MC it with a ‘failure’ clock running so the more misses are rolled the closer the target is to escaping.

I was thinking we play one mission at a time rather than commit to a long campaign. So at the end of any mission either one of us can call it there.

Anyone interested?

I’m thinking of writing my own AW Playbooks for a fantasy setting, including character creation choices for ‘why you adventure’ tied to Hx and the place they come from. I was thinking off trying it with some DnD adventures.

1) Is there advice around on writing your own AW Playbooks?

2) Has anyone taken AW and tried to run a DnD module with it (with fantasy playbooks)?

Basically, I like DW but I love AW more.
