Hey all, I just had my first session of Legacy yesterday, and while there were excellent parts of it as well as much of the usual first session-jitters, I’m not sure I understand what is basically a core conceit of the game. To those who’ve had success running Legacy, how do you make the Family level moves interesting? I’m interested in their ability to change the game world and have far-reaching effects, but in our session it boiled down to very abstract “we do X” “ok, roll y” where the consequences didn’t feel real.

Also, this is more specific, but how do you handle stealth? Defuse or Forging a path?

Hi again 🙁 Sorry for all those questions. But its really hard to understand this system. Now i feel like Enclave cant get Treaty on other, cause his alliance move is unclear for our party.

“When you spend time and effort showing another group how to use their technology better, gain 1-Treaty on them.”

Ok. But what exactly shude Enclave do? Shoulde i just said that Cultivators and Pioneers cant use PC or some other tech without Enclave help?

Now the game and its babies are out in the wild can I propose a shake up of the community categories? here are my suggestions (please take this in a well intentioned way 😘)

A category for each game – primal, rhapsody etc

A resources category for fan made stuff

A actual play, over play reports but maybe that ls being fussy.

I’d welcome other community members suggestions so we can make this community super ace because reading the rules of the game and being on the brink of running it I’m excited and hungry for well organised/categorised knowledge. 😁

Is anyone aware of a downloadable actual play podcast of LAtR? I’m struggling to wrap my brain around some of the concepts and would love to see/hear it in action. (Downloaded content is better for my situation than streaming, like YouTube).
