I’ve started work on another new Skin – The Pixie.

Where the Frozen is a loner quietly trying to find or keep a precious few people that are important to them, the Pixie is someone who can only validate themselves through how much other people like them.  This is not the co-dependent clingy mortal, this is the social butterfly flinging themselves around and bending over backwards to help others in any way they can in an attempt to find acceptance and love.

I will be posting my initial notes here soon, but I wanted to ask if anyone knew of another skin I am not aware of that was already covering this ground?  And if so, what that skin did right or wrong?

Michael Duxbury has been working on skin-specific Death Moves (you know, to replace the existing ‘lose all strings’ ‘become your Darkest Self’). I really love the idea and the opportunities to offer your players a difference play experience for a while mid-campaign and kickstart new plotlines.

With his permission, I’ve lain them out and attached the doc. I think they’re pretty good as they are, but they could really use some real play experience/beta testing. If anyone does use them then please do let us know how you find them.

Save the date – Monsterhearts Hangout game

We’ll be doing the first (of what will hopefully become a regular monthly) hangout one-shot game this Saturday (25th Jan). 

There’ll be two separate slots (10am EST – 2pm EST) (2pm EST – 6pm EST). Each game will be separate from the other and a one-shot.

Not set at the moment how we’ll organise it, but I’d prefer to see who turns up at the time (and then cap participation in the unlikely event that we have too many) rather than reserve in advance and then be let down should people reserved not show.

As I say, not taking reservations right now, but if anyone has any comments or questions then feel free to ask.

I’m completely stumped on the Darkest Self and still haven’t finished (or started) the front page flavor text, but here is the beta version of my first Chinese Zodiac Skin: The Rat.

I figured I’d put it up a day early and spend the next week gathering feedback (hopefully) and writing the missing pieces. There will also be an awesome character illustration by A.C. Galaga on the final version. I’m aiming to release that the last week of the month.
