So one of my players is using the Changeling playbook and wants to use Constant Companion so she has an ally. In the mystery, at some point stuffed animals are going to come to life, and I was going to surprise her by giving her that for an ally, however, after talking to her, she wants a Backup Ally, and stuffed animals aren’t exactly known for their fighting prowess.

So I see three options

Have her go ahead and make her own backup ally and drop the bear-as-ally thing, either turning it against the team or just making it ineffectual (the other stuffed animals are going to be spies for the monster)

Give the bear some kind of magic attacks for backup with some kinda bs about it having absorbed magic coming off the changeling girl over the years

Or I have her make her own ally and still have the bear come into play as a lieutenant. Maybe one that works with the entire team instead of just the one hunter.

Thoughts? Also, how do you guys usually handle backup Allies?

Someone pointed out we forgot to add a roll specification for “You! Me! Dancing!” Unless someone points out something glaringly wrong, this is the final version of this Playbook. If you don’t know, this is a playbook Linda Codega and I designed based on Monster of the Week teams like Josie and the Pussycats, and Jem and the Holograms. Have fun!

Hey guys!

Hey guys!

Hey guys! Working on a one-shot for a convention and I was wondering if you guys would mind taking a look at this handout we’re (my husband and I) planning to give to the players and give me some feedback. It will be in a folder for each player along with other necessary reference sheets

~ Is it clear and concise enough for new players?

~ Could anything be explained better?

~ Am I over-explaining anything?

~ Any other comments on this introductory sheet?

Trying to create a playbook for a character that uses naturalistic ritual to unusual degrees of success (crystal healing, incense, feng shui, that sort of thing) Mostly a cleric type.

Anyway, the main thing I want to ask is if anyone has tips on editing the Template in Google Drive (my preferred document editor)
