Ever felt like you want to share your vast knowledge of the game you hold near and dear to your heart? Ever wish you could simply edit inaccuracies about lore and mechanics? Well here’s some good news for this passionate community:

We now have a Bluebeard’s Bride wiki that needs fleshing out! It might just be the perfect way to feel like a productive gamer if you’re between campaigns, or to distract yourself if you’re snowed in with only a candle and the soft glow of your computer screen preventing those deep winter shadows from invading your psyche…..

(psst, there’s a forum built in to this wiki, so check it out and let us know if you think that might be a viable way to transition this G+ community!)

One week from now, witness the tale unfold of a silver age hero-turned-politician and the young supers she’s grooming to take her place in the face of crime and immorality. But more complicated than good vs. evil, each character brings to the table baggage along with talent…

The Protege – Daughter of an investigative journalist, years of Quinn Elliot’s antics as Little Sparrow got the attention of former prolific hero White Owl, now Mayor of Halcyon City. After months of trying to talk Quinn out of her heroics, the Owl relented and took Quinn under her wing both as an intern of the city and as her superpowered protege.

The Delinquent – 16 year old Francis Bishop is the son of a magic using thief, and he’s inherited both his mother’s magic tricks and her cloak after she was incarcerated. A classic delinquent, White Owl insisted Franc join her team of heroes lest he join his mother in prison.

The Legacy – Polly was born with the blood of the gods in her veins. Proudly accepting her fate as a powerful pawn for good, she never wears a mask and trains hard under her aunt Arastrea, the current Arete. She joins White Owls team to test her mettle in the real world.

The Bull – Helix doesn’t remember much outside of Cage Brigade where she was injected with experimental treatments to rewrite her DNA. She would have gone out in a blaze of rage and glory had White Owl not intervened. Now she’s got a complex relationship with the team to contend with.

The Scion – Shawn Braddock had a hand in bringing down his father, a hero turned bad. White Owl, impressed with Shawn’s bravery and intelligence, offered him a role on the team for the opportunity to use his father’s advanced tech for good, and the chance to make things right.

Like these characters? Beginning January 16th you can see how they fare on a team in Future Shock, a 6 episode actual play stream run by one of the writers of Masks: A New Generation. We hope to inspire players and GMs alike, so please follow twitch.tv/robowieland and don’t miss it!

We know the imminent G+ shutdown is lingering in the back of all our minds!

We know the imminent G+ shutdown is lingering in the back of all our minds! Before we get sucked into the black hole that can be the holiday season, we would like to gather some intel on where and how our fans would like to transition this community.

Some of you may already use Discord or Reddit, but we know some people find those spaces difficult to navigate. That said, some people want to avoid using Facebook for gaming conversations. While there might not be a perfect space, we’d love a medium in which everyone feels comfortable free to engage, and able to easily reach out to us with questions about gameplay, mechanics, etc.

In addition to options like Discord or Facebook, we’re also considering opening up our own Magpie forums on magpiegames.com as we revamp the site over the next couple of months. Please let us know if that option seems of interest to you!

Let the polling commence! And, of course, more detailed feedback in the comments is always welcome 🙂
