Let’s say I wanted to run a Paragon game using most of the Masks rules. IMHO, the influence rules are the big thing that no longer really “fits,” since Paragons are much more sure of who they are (for better or worse) than young heroes.

My question is what would you replace the influence rules with, and why?

Would anyone be willing to run a Play-by-post game of Masks? My schedule is too unpredictable right now to guarantee I’ll be free a specific evening on a regular basis.

If not, I’m willing to be GM, but please be aware that while I’m sure chargen will go fine, actually running the game would be a bit of a learning experience for me at first.

Am I correct in thinking that Masks as a supers system / setting isn’t really about heroes defined by singular items like adamantium/vibranium blended shields that defy physics? I ask because that’s a bit more central than the equipment of Beacons, yet I’d imagine a Directly Engaging a Threat move could just take their special item away from them on a single roll.

Would anyone be interested in a forum game of WiP? I’ve never had a chance to play it, I just moved, and the game I was about to be in over on RPGnet just fell through.

Since I’ve never played it, I would prefer someone else GM. I would consider being GM as a last resort.
