Finished with my Apocalpyse World/World of Dungeons hack (with a tiny bit of inspiration from Chronica Feudalis) that I’m calling End of the World…just in time for the end of the world.
Yeah, I dated it 12/21/12, but that’s because I didn’t want to actually wait until tomorrow. So sue me.
…wait, no, don’t sue me. That’d be silly.
Anyway, download either the standard version (which should be small enough to fit onto an iPod or smartphone screen and only about 300kb), or the PocketMod version to print out, fold up, and take with you where ever…especially if the net crashes and all power goes out for the next decade.

Yes. I wanna play this tonight.
Super dope dude. We need to collab.
Zack Wolf Definitely. Knock some craniums together for maximum idea-ifing.
I like that the researcher is a woman.
I tried to get a wide selection of images for this, with as much diversity as I could. Even got the LGBT covered (the Celebrity pic is Raja from RuPaul’s Drag Race). Plus images from all over the world, too. Brits, Greeks, Chinese, Colombian, etc. The only ones that are definitely US is the Authority (mildly altered Ron Paul) and the Celebrity.
Cool. So… what do you do?
…you try to survive.
Actually about to run it in a minute or two here, so we’ll see how it works out.
Cool. Are there GM moves or principles or anything?
GM moves, yes. Basically soft and hard moves. No principals, because it kind of assumes a familiarity with ApocWorld. It all fits on a single sheet of paper, double sided…so, yeah, kinda had to leave things out.
This is awesome Michael, will try and play on Sunday. The artwork is awesome!
Great! Let me know how it goes!
I just ran it last night, and was able to pinpoint a few…not so much errors, as oversights.
Take note that the Stun Gun would count, cost-wise, as a 1 Harm weapon (players pointed that out to me almost immediately).
Also, the GM should either start the game with the characters already barricaded in somewhere, or actively on the run from something to somewhere safe. Ask questions about how they got into this situation, and describe the activities of local police/military in response to what is happening, and how they are trying to get people to safety.
My game last night started, unwisely, at the very start of what would be the end of the world, and the players were actively trying to stop it, instead of surviving against it. Still was pretty fun.
Looks like I may have to make a second sheet, just for the GM to use, after all. Just with advice and procedures.
