Ooh.
Man, I’m tempted to have that be the picture of the Ancient (an in development Playbook for someone crazy old who has survived the Apocalypse).
Either that a more obvious one like the Conqueror. Starts with a gang but not a hold, a damn scary gang though commanded as a Hardholder commands his gang. Moves / extra bits about establishing tribute and carving out wide swaths of territory and converting location type threats into safe strongholds the way that advanced manipulation/seduction turns NPCs into allies.
Maybe even a Hardholder supplement, The Czar
All of those sound good 🙂 this is my art, done with reference to an actual statue and it is free to use for any non-commercial product.
Adam Blinkinsop Now all I can think about is a AW hack called “Ancient World”, skins like The Centurion, The Zulu, The Prophet, etc. Someone make this.
When you cross the rubicon, alea iacta est.
If only it were Greek I could use it for the Odyssey-based hack I was working on. Stinking newcomer Romans.
Hi! I’m writing a hack of Apocalypse World based on Roman Empire. I will need artworks for playbooks and manual. We can remain in contact if you want to contribute.
Sure.
Tim Groth: I’m working on something that might interest you, I’ll summon you to the work in progress.
I kinda want to have this be the picture for my Faceless, with that being a theater mask.
Go right ahead.
Now I want to do a playbook called The Imposter for folk who have found pictures or statues of people from before the apocalypse and do their best to emulate them. The leader of a small society of creatively anachronistic folk, maybe an extension for the skinner. Maybe the basis for their society is an old J. C. Penney’s or Gap catalogue.
isn’t better The Fake as name?
how about The Facade
