So does anyone know of a Cyberpunk genre game using the ApW engine? I feel it would suit for exploring the lives of these sorts of characters and the differences between the haves and have-nots. I’m thinking strongly about trying my hand at it myself as a game design exercise.

I’ve actually been thinking about using AW more or less straight for a setting like the Gibson Sprawl or Richard Kadrey’s Metrophage.
Editing to add: Hardholds would be places of warmth and security in an industrial/post-industrial wasteland, warzone, etc.
I know there’s one, but it’s more cyber/thriller/action than William Gibson, so to speak…
Hey Stras Acimovic!
The idea of a hardhold being about comfort and connection in the face of crushing industrialism and impersonal cyberworld is pretty intriguing.
Thanks, Meguey. Less “Where can you live?”, more “Where can you love?”…a goal that also involves a lot of struggle.
I was thinking of messing around with the Maestro D as a sort of clearing house for the underworld types. The Battlebabe maps pretty well to the Street Samurai concept, with some tweaks. The idea of a Hardholder as the not so nice protector of their turf and the people in it crossed my mind but I like your idea Bruce. Just thoughts rolling around my head, I’ll be sure to make a PDF available for free should anything come of it.
Stuart, I like that vibe too!

Enjoy.
Ta very much Loris!
AW for Cyberpunk would be a lot of fun.
