Since there are now quite a lot of playbooks and expanded Playbooks out there (a lot of them, thanks to Patrick Henry Downs ) i thought i should go through the list and look what i would allow for my next game.

The Standard Playbooks

The limitited editions Playbooks (without the Marmont)

The Beast Master

The Wrangler – but only one of them. If one is chosen the other becomes not available

The Juggernaut

The Scholar

The Wolf

The Solace – maybe

the Grotesque

The Radio – but i would not allow to get Bonefeel in addition to the Workplace

The Samaritan and the Hag when they are finished. I would not allow the Samaritan and the Quarantine in the same game though.

I kind of like the Orphan, Boy and His Dog (by Willow) and the Last Child mechanicly but i don’t really like Children Playbooks in my Apocalypse World. If the BahD are in play he would follow the same rules as the Beast Master and Wrangler (only 1 animal playbook in play)

The Wanderer if there is a player that can’t make it regulary.

All other playbooks are either to specific in what they want to do, to zany (Man in the Box ^^) or are not as well balanced/designed – in my opinion. I don’t want to offend anyone.

Expanded Playbooks

The Broodmother – really cool (maybe not if someone picks the radio)

The Devoted

The Fallen

The Living god – still don’t know how mechanicly viable this actually is

The Loner – maaayyybeee….

The Gunlugger in Love

The Survivor

The Valkyrie

The Witch King

The Wurm

The Rumormonger and Swarm Host (by me)

The Ghostrider by Patrick

The mendicant and catalyst are to fiddly in my opinion
