I’m so glad this game has a community now! I’m running my 4th session this afternoon and I’m excited. I love my hunters and their stories! Our first session was the haunted house scenario example from the book, our second session used Slenderman, and the third session was our holiday Easter themed episode (I wanted something kind of light so I could introduce some metaplot elements into the game). It’s been a really enjoyable experience so far. I dig the formula.

Would be interested to know how you wrote up Slendy, been thinking about using him in a scenario sometime. 😀
(Mainly because I know of one player in my regular group who is genuinely creeped out by the concept.)
Robert Ruthven Here’s what I wrote:
Name: Slenderman
Type: Monster/Devourer
Motivation: to consume people
Powers: Teleportation through portals, mesmerizing tentacles
Attacks: Mind Violation 2-4 harm intimate quiet, causes -1 ongoing on all but tough
Weaknesses: Disbelief (the internet hysteria gives him power) or trap him in the portals as he teleports
Armour: 1, Harm Capacity: 8
Name: Slender Victims
Type: Minions / Parasite-Renfield
Motivation: Infect victims to mark for Slendy
Powers: Infect victims with Slender sickness to target next victim
Attacks: Infecting claws 1-2 harm intimate
Armour: 0, Harm Capacity: 7
Notes: Previous Slender Victims are hollow shells of existence. They are hairless and no longer have pigment in their skin. They do not blink. They move unnaturally and their only motivation is to “mark” the hunters by clawing them and infecting their blood.
Slender sickness symptoms include nose bleeds, nightmares, exhaustion, fever, strong cough, and eyes becoming progressively bloodshot. Slenderman will now stalk these victims.
The hunters can find out that Slenderman travels through portals. If they use magic, they can use blood from previous Slender victims (either minions or someone infected with the sickness) and draw his symbol (circle with X in it) to bind him as he travels.
Hope that works for you! Have fun with Slendy! He creeped the fuck out of my group, so it was extra FUN. 🙂
Cool! Slenderman should be a good monster to use for a Snoop-centred hunter team, I reckon. I’ll definitely give it a shot sometime. 🙂
