Thinking about moves for the Scooby Doo variant of MotW. I think you can use Monsterhearts ‘Run Away’ move. You also need a ‘When you hide from a monster’ move. And with ‘Investigate a Mystery,” you get clues instead of weaknesses. You can accuse anyone at any time, but if you accuse the right person and have no clues then they can shrug off the accusation and destroy your credibility.

Good question, Paul. I don’t think credibility is a stat … although (and this is just crazy brainstorming) what if everyone starts with +credibility. Only people with +credibility can make accusations and false accusations mean you lose your credibility and can’t gain it back.
Other than that, I was just thinking that ‘credibility’ was a purely a judgement we make about the characters in the setting: are they credible or not?

Or maybe you could get the credibility back, if it’s a stat, (in the case of campaigns), but it’s pretty difficult to do…?
Hmm… credibility… very often Shaggy and Scooby discover important clues to the mystery and their “credibility” couldn’t be worse. Am I right?
You’d also need to come up with an “make elaborate Rube-Goldberg trap” move.
