I’ve pimped this out before on the forums, but seeing as how I’ve just joined this community, I thought I’d share it again. 😉
I’m looking for feedback on my fan Skin, The Oni. It’s based on the Oni and the Namahage from Japanese culture/mythology, and plays on bullying and conformity in the high school setting.
I’d love to hear what people think if they have time to look it over. 🙂
With a little more than cursory glance, it looks interesting and the moves provides a lot of different directions to take the Oni. I can see if you play with the wrong people, the Oni can feel like you’re picking on people with certain moves. But that’s not a fault of playbook just a cautionary thing. However I’d have to play with it in a game before I can say anything more about it.
Thanks for even just giving it that cursory glance. 🙂 Picking on people is what the Oni’s about, but yeah. Like a lot of stuff in #Monsterhearts, people have to be very clear that this is affecting the character and not the player.
hey Arnold Cassell and Kelley Vanda, didn’t you look at this skin? Any feedback for Christopher?
Thanks for the signal boost Richard Rogers . I don’t remember who all has seen this by now.
Fantastic. I can see how all the systems work. And the romance move is tragic.
Thanks for the look through Adam Goldberg . Honestly it’s been a while since I looked at the Oni myself. Did anything seem broken, overpowered, or unclear?
It seems like a very DIRECT style of play, as opposed to some books that require two options. But not broken.
On the same line as the Kitsune, is there anyway this could get reuploaded?
Hey Rob Cain. I’ve moved a lot of stuff from my DropBox to Google Drive. Try this link: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0By0x1B37xOs2Wm56U2t2UmNRekk/edit?usp=sharing
That’s fantastic thank you, is there one for the Oni too?
I think this is the latest version of the Oni: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0By0x1B37xOs2SlU2c3hZNjNKN1E/edit?usp=sharing
And despite it not being finished, here’s the Tengu as well: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0By0x1B37xOs2bDluZ0RvZXpKa0U/edit?usp=sharing
If you get a chance to try them out, or just have feedback from a read through, I’d love to hear your thoughts. Thanks. 🙂
