How do bonds with the gods work in play? Does the MC spend the gods’ bonds to activate them and what is the effect of that?

Gregor Vuga , I would also really like to know!
EXACTLY!
(and that is why this is my favourtie move)
The effects of spending a bond are always the same right?
Now the gods can hinder or assist your moves.
They can look into your heart
You can also have a bond on, let’s say Thor, to look into his heart and ask him a question. Like what he wants you to do. When the gods have a bond with you they will probably aid you when you do things that are in their favor/domain.
So when you
– display stubborn pride
you can angle to get a +1 from the mighty might of Thor, but don’t be a coward during that time or you will get hit with a -1.
And then the GM can always create custom moves that trigger when the god spends a bond.
What Tim Franzke said. Since people may want to turn their supernatural dial up or down, I left the specifics vague and leave the interpretation/fiction to the group. But you use them the same as all other bonds: aiding or hindering or looking into someone’s heart, yes.
That alone is brilliant.
isn’t it? It is my favourtie move in the whole game.
