The fellow playing the Woman in our game isn’t sure where to take her.

The fellow playing the Woman in our game isn’t sure where to take her. I shared my perception that the female rolebooks are good at setting the agenda for the game, and then pushing the male rolebooks in pursuit of those agendas, but he’s not really sure where he wants to go. Any advice for him?

  1. I’ve played a Woman and she was the engine behind much of what happened. She pushed her husband (the Man) to get revenge on the local godi (NPC) for something established when creating characters, she tried hard to be a good wife to please her mother-in-law (the Matriarch), she had an affair with the Slave and tried to get her brother to grow up and be responsible (the Huskarl).

I guess in my case it was all about creating an interesting situation, hooking into the setting and then pushing everywhere. Lots of fun!

  2. He’s wondering about marrying the neighbor and moving in with him. I’m thinking that a brother and sister owning adjacent farms could be pretty powerful. He’s wondering if anyone has any advice, though, on how well the game works when the Man and the Woman are on separate farms.
