Thanks for the invite. I tend to play vibrant characters with catchphrases and over the top personalities. I think it is fair to say I have been waiting for a wrestling RPG for years.
I even started to design one a few years ago, but got distracted by other projects.
Thanks for joining!
Catchphrases, yes. We haven’t had too many catchphrases in our home game yet…except maybe “MAMMOTH LOSE?!”
You need catchphrases so moments like this can happen. ;o)
The Rock and Chris Jericho Funny Segment 2
You’ ve not looked hard enough! Piledrivers and Powerbombs has been out for years! 😉
(It is to my eternal shame that I haven’t actually played P&P. I’ve been trying to make up for it by running Hell 4 Leather every chance I get, tho!)
How did that one slide under my radar?! Thanks for the head’s up Joe.
There’s also “The Squared Circle.” It’s on RPGNow.
I like Nathan’s game waaay better.
There’s also a Hero Lucha Libre book, but nothing bests AW engine.
There’s also a game called Wild World Wrestling (how’s THAT for confusion), which I think is related in some way to the old WWE Know Your Role d20 game.
And the gold standard for backstage/business-y wrestling gaming is Matt Gwinn’s Kayfabe.
