Hello!
I thought I would share a small hack of Dungeon World I’ve written here. It’s called Virtual World, and it draws inspiration from things like dotHack and Sword Art Online. The premise is that the game you are playing is a computer game, with all the interesting complications that brings. Enjoy!

AWESOME! This also reminds me how I need to get back to watching Sword Art Online…
Wow, that is a super cool twist. Not only can you have weird things happen due to in-game magic, you can have weird things happen because of out-of-game glitches. Brain now churning.
I love SAO ….. so you have peaked my interst.
Want to see more on Death and Hacking the game.
I am presuming these are just notes, as nether tells you what to Roll.
Anton Dominic, you maybe interested in this, This may be my next game.
I don’t think you roll to Hack (keep in kind you don’t have real life stats! So you couldnt roll anything!) because the text assumes your protagonists are competent, clever, and computer (or at least game) literate.
When you want to hack, you just do and pick one effect and then deal with the fallout of the other two.
Yes, that is true. The stats on your character sheet are representative of your in-game (or, I guess, in-in-game) abilities. Outside of that, it’s more of a fiction thing. “I want to hack the game.” “Do you know how to hack?” “Apparently, yes.” “Okay, what do you want to do, and how are you doing it?” Etc. Also, I’m glad a lot of people like it!
