We’ve played WWE Know Your Role couple of years ago, and every one of us, including GM had at least 2 original characters and 6-8 characters from the WWE rooster. That was to emulate the whole promotion, weekly game sessions were RAW and monthly sessions we used to run for open public on the conventions were pay-per-views.
I know Stras Acimovic played in this style, where everyone had a wrestler. I think it’d be fine! I would probably try to avoid a situation where Creative books their own character in matches (either though a rotating system where someone who doesn’t have a wrestler in it books each match, or just abandon the “secret” part of the booking and have it be explicit from the beginning).
Remember, one of Creative’s agendas is to celebrate and challenge the players! As long as that’s still happening, it’s all good.

Anyway, it is for a one shot and I wanted to create a wrestler so that I can show to new players how it works instead of explaining/teaching the rules.
I think that will be just fine!
