My weekly game is adding 3 new players tonight. I also have 3 returning players. This will be the 5th episode having crowned our first player champion last week. Tonight, with an equal number of new to returning players, does is it make sense to do a season reset?
I’m leaning yes, but was interested in what others thought.
I wouldn’t say a season reset so much as a blow-off. Imagine this session as the RAW after Wrestlemania. Feuds end, new ones start, debuts happen with as great pop as star studded returns, and everything is generally awesome.
Definitely.
By which I mean definitely what Peter Bothwick said.
If you’re worried about the imbalance b/w the existing characters having more Heat with each other and Audience than the incoming ones, you could have everyone reset their Audience as per a promotion audience gain in addition to doing the incoming characters Heat questions. Id leave the existing Heat in place tho, it’s good to have some hot feuds IMO.
That’s actually a really good compromise. Good call, Nathan Paoletta!
Thanks guys. The post ‘mania booking is a good analogy, Of the three returning there is a hot feud between 2 of them and the 3rd is the champ. Leaving the player champion in place makes sense. The hot feud needs closure.
I’m not concerned about imbalance so much as the character building opportunities that come from the heat questions. Perhaps I’ll give the returning guys the opportunity to ask one heat question each?
Nice! Also, Joe Zantek and I are keen to mix it up between our country gals, so I imagine we’ll start with a minimum of 2 Heat with one another.
Tis true, I imagine a possible amusing situation of “on air rivals” and best friends backstage
fine, cowgirl hat on a pole match!
on a pole? noooooooooo!
Don’t worry Nathan Paoletta, we”ll have a distraction run in/roll up to make up for
create a new belt – maybe intercontinental?
Don’t worry about that; the Extreme BBQ Champion has yet to make his debut!
