I was curious if the fun would hold up using a GM emulator. So I combined the Beta rules* with a Mythic like emulator of my own design that answers yes and no questions. I made decisions for Lindsey, but used rolls for Plum’s actions. I am sorry that I wrote the results rather than writing the rolls and results, but you can kind of see where people rolled well, especially that awesome opening for Plum. I took the liberty to say that anyone could have a valet if they want.
*I’m out of work for over six months with some frightening medical bills, so I haven’t picked up the game yet.
Josh Bran now you can see the character I will bring in when I have enough advances to play with. Plum works as a high flyer or anti-hero and I am not sure if there are season 1 gimmicks that may work.

Character Background and Sample Match – Lindsey Lock vs Princess Plum
Lindsey sighed as she looked in the mirror. The makeup looked great, the little clover on her cheek and green eye liner did look good with her fair skin red curls and freckles. “I just need to smile more.” she reminded herself while looking in the mirror. Wrestling was so much more of a show than her MMA matches.
She heard someone behind her then looked to the corner of the mirror. There was a woman with thick black hair and a bright smile dressed in an elegant purple gown. “Hello, Lindsey, right? I’m Paula. I just wanted to say a quick hello before match.” she said with a distinct accent.
“Hi Paula nice to meet you . . . you’re Irish?! I mean, sorry. I just feel a little goofy in this get up. I am still getting used to having a character.” Lindsey said sheepishly.
“I’m from Cork, but I couldn’t play the Irish stepdancer, my family is from Surat India originally, so I don’t really fit the stereotype. It’s fine though, I would go nuts if I had to have a shamrock and dancing schtick. It suits you, you look great in green.” she said with a good natured wink “I hear you are going to the new league and wanted to congratulate you.”
“Thanks, yeah sometimes I wonder if I would have been better off with a different character. It’s funny they wanted my character to be from Ireland, but I couldn’t do the accent to save my life. I can do a Boston accent though. I lived there for a few years. Thanks on the congratulations. Are you coming too?”
“No, I’ve got a movie gig, just a small part. I am going to die in a horror flick.” she said with an eyeroll, “Perhaps one day”, she was cut off by another voice. “Get ready to go out ladies.”

“We are gonna have a great night. Live from New York this is Rockin’ Roy Redhouse and I am here with Jack Swanson. We are starting off with some great diva talent.”
On queue the lights dimmed and a royal trumpet sounded. A spotlight shone on Paula in her elegant purple gown, several women in maid’s dresses were fussing around her as the voice over came up. Hailing from Toadstool Kingdom, The High Flying Princess of Pain, Prrrrincess Plum!”
The princess gestured to an attendant who presented her with a microphone. “Greetings New York, tonight you are in the presence” her deep Irish accent was gone, replaced with a slightly British affectation, she paused dramatically “Of royalty!” she raised her hand and let a gaudily large fake diamond catch the light as some people booed loudly and others enthusiastically chanted along with her catch phrase. “Kiss my ring!” She strutted to the ring and attendants pulled off the tearaway dress leaving her in a glittery purple one piece wrestling suit.
“The Princess is looking amazing as always, I would kiss that ring in a heartbeat.” Rockin’ Roy said as the princess smiled pointing her jeweled hand toward him. Another attendant took the ring and placed it on a pillow.
“She’s so far out of your league.” Jack said quietly with a hint of annoyance and an eyeroll, then he spoke into the microphone, “Only in your dreams, Roy!! The princess looks great tonight, but I wonder how she is going to fare against an MMA master with excellence of execution.”
“This match is brought to you by XBox 180, you will flip over this next gen console.” the voiceover said as fiddle music started to play.
“New York City” she paused before her catch phrase, “This dance is for you.” The spotlight shined on Lindsey as she did practiced steps from an Irish stepdance alongside two dancers. She broke into a bright natural smile as she imagined her old dance instructor seeing this particular dancing get up. She wore a bright green two piece with a bedazzled clover on her sports bra. She had thick padded gloves and boots as well as elbow and knee pads. The later took a bit of getting used to for step dancing.
“From Boston Massachusetts, The Irish Executioner, the mistress of the Cloverleaf Lucky Lllllllindsey Lock.”
Irish executioner really? She nearly giggled as she blew a kiss to the crowd and closed her eyes as a compartment in her glove sprayed out a green mist. “I wish you luck.” she mouthed and pointed at a fan who promptly went nuts jumping up and down. She walked down the ramp as the two dancers threw chocolate coins into the audience. She slid into the ring and swiftly took a fighting stance as the bell rang.
Plum wasted no time and charged in with a running dropkick that floored Lindsey. The princess then grabbed her arm and hoisted her up with a wrist lock, she flung Lindsey with an Irish whip and on the return hit her with a clothesline that sent her into a flip. Plum raised an arm triumphantly and lept into the air dropping an elbow into Lindsey. Lindsey let out an “oof” and flailed as Plumb landed then rested on her chest “Nice sell, a bit early for a three count though” Plum said quietly as Lindsey heard the ref count one.
Lindsey kicked out, but Plum held control of the match by charging Lindsey with a leaping forearm strike. She then stepped to the outside turnbuckle climbed up and did a leaping fist form the top rope as some fans booed and others started a ‘kiss my ring’ chant. “You OK?” Plum whispered “You should probably take the next set.”
Lindsey kicked out at two as she was dimly aware of the announcers commenting on her luck running out tonight. Her legs swung around her opponent and slammed Plum to the mat. Lucky grabbed her arm and cranked backwards as Plum placed a foot on the rope. The ref broke up the submission hold. As both wrestlers stood Lindsey took the moment to deliver a “Lucky special” superkick sending Plum into the mat with an audible crash. The Kiss My Ring chant stopped suddenly.
“WHOA! What a spectacular move. Plum did not see that coming!”
“I don’t know if anybody saw that coming Roy! That is a Lucky Lindsey trademark. That kick changes everything, and we shouldn’t underestimate the toll that armbar may have taken. Did you see the way her arm was just hanging at her side when she stood up?”
Lindsey held on to the ropes for a moment with a hand to her chest catching her breath as Plum slowly struggled to a standing position. Lindsey ran over and brought her down with a clothesline. Then she ran to the other rope used it to spring off and cartwheel into a splash. Lindsey Hooked a leg and waited for the ref to count.
Plum kicked out at a long two count, sliding away from Lindsey and pulling herself up using the rope and her good arm. Lindsey charged forward, but Plum drove her knee into Lindsey’s gut sending her backwards. Plum was quick to capitalize, she kicked the side of Lindsey’s knee sending Lindsey into a kneeling position. Then she put lindsey into a side headlock and drove her left hand into Lindsey’s face. Both yelled in pain as Plum exerted her ‘injured’ arm and Lindsey crashed to the mat.
“There it is, There it is, The kiss my ring!”
“This one could be over Roy.” Jack said with a nod.
Plum pointed at her opponent writhing on the mat and she laughed. It was a dark cruel laughter. She then pointed at a fan in the front row that she noticed chanting earlier. She looked at Lindsey to make sure she was still down and she slid out of the ring walking over to a fan that she had noticed chanting before. “Kiss my ring.” she said as she held out her hand. The fan kissed her hand. She quickly removed her hand “That’s enough peasant.” She said with a smile. The fan was thrilled as he realized she handed him a card with her autograph in the process.
“Look at her working the crowd. She is so regal.”
“That she is, but I don’t know if it is a good idea to give Lindsey this much time to recover.” Jack said.
Plum glared at him, but she returned to the ring climbing to the top turnbuckle. She held up her hands.
“Could this be it? Are we going to see the Princess and the Frog Splash!?” Roy said.
Lindsey sprang up and rushed the turnbuckle. They briefly exchanged punches, but it was clear that Plum’s “injury” took steam out of the exchange. Lindsey was able to lock her up and use a superplex from the top turnbuckle. They crashed to the mat with a loud bang. Lindsey stood first and used a standing fist drop to further stun her opponent. She then flipped Plum over and cranked her arm for another moment before rolling up to her legs and putting Plum into the cloverleaf. She executed the move perfectly and the audience went wild as Plum tapped out. She released the hold and dropped to her knees pumping her fist in the air.
Plum rolled out of the ring, “You will pay for this peasant.” she said as her entourage fussed over her and lead her up the ramp.
Lindsey was about to do the same when Jack approached her, “Great match, I guess you could say you were ‘Lucky’ to win after that strong start from the princess.”
“Yeah, a little luck a lot ah skill . . .” Lindsey said between gasping breaths. “The Princess is an amazing competitor I hope to see her again. Take care Jack.”
“There goes an amazing wrestler, follow her continued adventures on Women of World Wrestling.”
“The Irish Executioner”? I need to remember that one.
Interesting Idea, there. I remember someone being a GM and had Mythic play the PC’s. That might work as well.
Being creative while Mythic plays the PCs is basically what I did here. It was my homebrew as opposed to actually Mythic, but same general idea.
Keep an eye out for that kick, I will use it if I roll really well on work :o)
Oh and TLDR: Yes the fun held up using an emulator.
