What are YOU excited about this year? I know the overall build has been underwhelming and there’s a lot to shit on, but I’d like to stay posi for this one, please-and-thank-you.
All of it! (Minus Rollins v Orton, meh)
I guess from looking at that card, I’m most looking forward to the women’s tag match, cause I feel like the outcome of that will upset me the least.
So the battle royale and tag titles aren’t even on the actual show?
The ladder match I think will be the best match out of them. It will provide the most action and will bring in some needed high flight moves to the card.
Yeah, Battle Royal was moved to the preshow. But really it’s kind of an acknowledgement that there’s no real difference in the internet age, right? If you have the network, you get the pre-show. If you’re there, you see it anyway. I guess the folks who are still paying $65 for a PPV will miss it?
Honestly I’d rather have longer singles matches anyway. Battle Royals are fun and all but they’re also pretty unmemorable, to me.
Not so excited, too. From a storytelling point of view there isn’t much to look forward to, except for Sting vs Triple H and Wyatt vs Undertaker. The ladder match will probably steal the show, but I’m disappointed with the strange and childish construction and with the mid-card relegation of the three most over babyfaces of the company. Lesnar’s renew adds a bit of desperately needed intrigue to the Main Event, but it still feels disappointing. At the end of the day the thing I’m most excited for is the Battle Royal, hoping for a Damien Sandow big win: that would put me in a great mood for the whole show XD
I think Cena-Rusev is gonna be a barn-burner, tbh.
I am excited about the Wyatt/Undertaker match. I like the new generation of supernatural weirdness vs. the old one. I like the Battle Royale because it features the breadth of the roster and there’s not really anyone that I think would be uninteresting to win.
I’d be excited about the IC strap match if the belt weren’t such a joke/curse for the winner.
Most excited about the Ladder match!Sad Kofi is not in the Battle Royal. Also hoping for good things from the Bray Wyatt vs The Undertaker match and the Sting vs Triple-H. I want to see what happens with Rusev, it’s time for him to go down hard!
YOU WEAK AMERICAN, RUSEV CRUSH
I’m not more upset the battle royale was moved due to Miz/Mizdow, as this means, this is yet again another PvP when Moscow won’t turn/stand up for himself
I saw a rumor that they may add a singles match to the actual show coming out of the Battle Royal, so…..
YOU SHUT YOUR MOUTH Irven Keppen, when Rusev loses, it better not be to Cena, that does nothing for either man.
The only thing I’m actually kinda sad about is the ATGMBR getting moved to the pre-show. SHAME!
Counterpoint: I’d so much rather have a match than another 20 minutes of pointless “coverage” on a 2-goddam-hour long preshow.
Just as long as I get another Shucky Ducky Quack Quack Moment (complete with animated graphic) I’m ok with whatever.
Counter-Counter point I’d much rather have those matches in the actual event, and not any pre-show!
Counter-Counter-Counter point: the division between “pre-show” and “show” is entirely arbitrary, we’re basically getting a 5 hour Wrestlemania!
Counter-Reversal! We had an actual 5 hour PPV for WM 20. Plus whatever dark/pre-show matches there were!
I don’t want to have to sit through their wannabe espn sports center wannabe talking stuff just for 2 matches, put them on the actual show, and keep pre-show matches for things that didn’t have any build up!
Yargh! I might have to tap out to that one.
Joey Crak wins again!
Mega-Reversal! (Its super effective!) Put all the matches on both the pre show and the regular event so even people that can’t watch the event but can catch the pre show can see everything. /sarcasm
Another reason it’s bad: we don’t get to see #Axelmania run wild during the actual Wrestlemania!
I hate to break it to you but Snoop Dogg clotheslining him over the top rope finally eliminated him from the Royal Rumble, I think
Well, to be fair, he’s been tossed over multiple times since the rumble.
