I believe the Playtest files were backer only. (I’m a backer).
Hopefully +Andrew Medeiros will be along to confirm that.
Good call on preordering it. While I haven’t actually run it yet, it’s going to be a fantastic game, if the playtest stuff is any indication. Kind of reminds me of World of Darkness, but actually supports storytelling.
I’m pretty sure it’s backer only. I preordered too, and it’s a little disappointing because my game ended tonight and it would be nice to start urban shadows
Hey folks! We’re happy to get pre-orders a copy of the Playtest files. We just uploaded them to Backerkit (which is supposed to email you all), so let us know if that system works!

On backerkit I’m seeing what appears to be the basic moves! Would those be best used with the out-of-date play documents linked in the description of the Google+ group?
Hmmm. We actually uploaded both the Basic Moves and the Archetypes. We’ll contact Backerkit to see if we can get the Archetypes distributed.

Got the Archetypes, but it seems to be missing The Immortal and The Dragon. Did those archtypes not make it into the final cut?
Those Archetypes are now Limited Edition. Right now, only backers get access to those (plus The Scholar and The Vessel), but they will be made public soon!

What about playtest material for MCs? Would we just use the existing documents on the community or is there a more up to date version of that as well?
Go ahead and use the existing documents on the community. We’re getting ready for a new release of those as well, but it may be a week or two. Thanks!

I wish I could have gotten in on the kickstarter. I did however get to preorder. Will the special edition Kickstarter archetypes ever be available for the rest of us?
Of course! We’ll be releasing those with the Dark Streets book.
