Just got done playing AW2 with some high schoolers. It was freaking nuts. All of my players were first timers to AW at all. We had a:
Hocus
Gunlugger
Brainer
Driver
Quarantine
Skinner
It was pretty fun, but we ran into some things that made me scratch my head a bit, and I was hoping to pick everyone’s brain on how they would handle it.
1. The brainer and skinner decided to try to start mind controlling as many people in the town while the hocus was away. Basically the skinner was do his thing to keep all eyes on him and the brainer wanted to just walk through and touch as many as he could with his violation glove. I just had him roll once and let him have a small gang at his disposal. Otherwise he wanted to just roll for each one and since his Weird was highlighted and at +3 would just keep scoring more and more xp. What would you have done when you brainer wants to take over the town? (Note: All the players left in town while the hocus was gone wanted to just burn it to the ground and had no problem with the brainer doing this, so no PC was going to step in)
2. Vincent Baker This might take the master to answer this one. The driver and gunlugger got in a fight. They do battle with the hand to hand move. The gunlugger kills the driver outright while the driver won the seize the advantage. What happens when the victor of the fight dies? Our driver took the “life is unattainable” option to stop the harm (which I think is how it works), but if the victor dies, does the loser still have to choose? (Of course if Sir Vincent doesn’t want to answer this since the game is still in Alpha I totally understand and will wait patiently for the next morsel of update on his Paetron that I’m sure everyone on this community is on…)
3. The driver wanted to take the “improve cool by 1 (max +2)” but then realized he started with + 2, I assume this was just an error and the improvement should say +3.
That’s all I can think of now for questions. I’ll post the story and play report sometime soon. Probably Monday.

The Cool cap for the Driver was acknowledged as a mistake on the Patreon group, I believe.
.
The game is clearly in progress. (For exemple with “A No Shit Driver” gone from the driver playbook , I wonder what the car’s stats are for^^)
But maybe Vincent ‘can’t’ answer.
That wouldn’t be fair for the $10 patrons. A reward Vincent seems to regret^^
The vehicle stats are used for some Moves (preliminary detailed in another document), so that is not a mystery.
Only the battle tags 🙂
Hmm. Got to re-check.
Remember that in-brain puppet strings don’t last forever.
As a GM, I would wonder:
* what command is he giving them? (Remember he has to implant a specific command, and as soon as they follow it he has no more hold over them!)
* how do these people feel about being controlled? What are they going to do when it wears off?
* what’s important enough to one of these people that they’d fight the control?
* is the brainer actually willing to kill someone who disobeys?
Command: attack the hocus when he returns
Didn’t think of that. That would have started some crap.
The hocus would have been important since he was the leader of the town.
Oh god yes
Man that would have made things interesting, thanks for the advice
