I have some questions about condition.
1. Can a character aggravate target’s condition without choosing enough “Impose a condition” options if it fit for the fiction?
(“I will open up his wound!” or “I will throw him into the river. He has body of fire, so probably very lethal to him… Do I need to choose 3 condition for give him Critical condition?)
2. If a character get a more serious condition than existing one(broken arm to severed arm, for instance) in the fiction, Does “severed arm” replace “broken arm” or stack up?
1. Conditions can (and should be) Imposed in the fiction regardless of moves being made. So if something a player does as a result of the fiction should Impose a Condition (even a player choosing a change of location with the Taken Down move, moving the Sandman from the street into the water. Even if it wasn’t their intention to Impose a Condition, a Condition would be Imposed on the Sandman by the EIC since he’s weak against water) then the EIC should definitely take that into account. Likewise, there are times when a player does something that normally should Impose a Condition, but won’t (like throwing a fireball at someone is usually going to be damaging, but not if their target has the power to absorb fire).
2. It would replace the previous one, so wouldn’t stack.
Kyle Simons Thanks!
