The Anti-Hero put together a retirement match for an old timer he thought was unjustly fired. The first roll of the match was a massive failure, so he hits the guy with a spinebuster, but the old timer tells him “I can’t feel my legs…” They thought he’d been unjustly fired, but the guy was let go because he wasn’t going to pass the physical to sign a new contract. The entire table’s jaws dropped.

  7. He took it very well. In our post-game debrief, we decided that El Coyote wasn’t permanently crippled, but his career was definitely over. If Soulbane crippled the guy, the character would be done. This way we have a good crisis of confidence story to tell at the next PPV.

    One of the things that I’ve really liked about our game is how the off-camera stuff really builds a sense of camaraderie between the wrestlers behind the curtain. They all rallied around poor El Coyote because they wanted him to share in the new-found wealth of the promotion. They blew my booking all to hell because they wanted to give him a great match to end his time at MMW. For a few moments, it looked like we’d have a heartwarming final match. Then that botch came at exactly the right moment and I twisted the knife as far as it would go.
