Yesterday I convinced my Cp2020 group to switch to Sprawl. I had some experience with the game. We will try to convert our former characters and this is the problem because 2 player is a cyborg (in a human Gemini body) So the actual question: How should I model a cyborg? I think they should receive +1 base armor, and/or they should access to a special move, (maybe Flesh is weak…) but I’m out of idea.

  1. In Cp2020 system they are faster (reflex movemenet) and stronger than average peaple. Furthermore they can handle better the incoming damage because of the built-in armor and they doesn’t feel pain, doesn’t knock-out Maybe some special harm move… or modifier.

  2. If you want to give it some mechanical crunch, I would start by looking at the cyberware and choosing the options you think are necessary. After all, a cyborg is just a person that is entirely composed of cyberware.

If there is still something missing, or that doesn’t feel right to your group, you could make some custom moves.

Feel no pain: your electronic nerves allow you fine control of your pain responses. Roll the harm move at -2.

I wouldn’t use that move personally. Instead as the MC I’d describe failed harm moves in terms of damage rather than pain. So:

You lose track of someone because the bullet hit you between the eyes and your visual sensors flickered and went black for a second.

You drop something because a piece of shrapnel lodged in your elbow servo and jammed it for a second and you fumbled the thing.

You can draw inspiration from all those random ephemeral computer glitches or bugs that disrupt things slightly. Like when your mouse freaks out for a second while you’re playing a game and spins you round in a circle disorienting you. Now imagine all of those glitches in a human body.

  3. The Killer playbook will fulfill their whishes. The players may choose the right cyberware (wired reflex, dermal armour) and describe it as part of their body, not implants.

    Simple.
