How does it handle sanity?

No sanity points. Levels of specific mental disorders build up as players fail Overcome Fear moves.
seems like my search for another Lovecraft system continues.
Just got it. From first quick study it looks good. One small nit-pick though, there are no bookmarks on the pdf.
What makes this unique from tremulus?
I’d like to know that one too!
Also – why haven’t I heard anything from this before?
Tremulus and Mythos World are similar to the extent that they both rely heavily on the conventions established by Apocalypse World and Dungeon World, and they both draw on the classic 1920s setting and the basic character concepts established in the original Call of Cthulhu game. They differ in appoach. Tremulus maintains a sanity point and hit point system and uses lots of roll modifiers as move bonuses. In Mythos World, mental disorders and physical injuries are direct results of moves. Mythos World also favors move results that have specific narrative effects. Tremulus has meatier procedures for developing settings and storylines, including the extensive and interesting Ebon Eves scenario generator. In short, Mythos World is a simpler representaton of Cthulhu roleplaying in the Apocalypse World engine, while Tremulus has deeper rule systems.

Thanks for the feedback. We’ll work on getting bookmarks into the next pdf version – you’ll get an email to download the update when its ready.

Thanks. Your description of the differences between Mythos World and Tremulus is very good. From what I’ve read I couldn’t have put it better. Although I’m not that impressed with Tremulus, in many ways it’s far to complicated and I’m still having trouble getting my head around the idea of Hazards.
