Although Halcyon City is the game’s core location, I’m feeling the call of the open road.

Although Halcyon City is the game’s core location, I’m feeling the call of the open road. What would you like in a 4-5 page Road Trip Supplement?

Edit: I made it, and it came out to 11 amazing pages! https://docs.google.com/document/d/1RX1ov1KyvwG61dZaBGvZ_UqmYuNOOmi9iaGzjz6_EIQ/edit?usp=sharing

  1. For vehicle rules, I’d mean things like “How to determine who goes shotgun and who has to sit in the middle/back”; Cannonball Run rules are things like chases, point-to-point races and deathracin’.

  2. I think a bit about how your heroes could get a vehicle and what it might look like would be nice. Whether it’s a civilian vehicle or something a hero would use, that kind of thing. Not rules, just prompts to think about.

  3. 2437 words in and my wrists are killin’ me! Chris Woods , I’ve added that section; you’ll always get a car, but if you’ve pissed off your connections, you may be borrowing the ’63 Swampmobile.

The one with no AC and crank windows.

  4. My road trips were always about snack management, the dangerous politics of seating arrangements, and more important than all other concerns: music selection.

    Something like…

When you use the stereo to play that song you freakin’ love, ask the other passengers what they think of it.  If everyone hates it, mark a Condition.  If someone loves it, mark potential.  If everyone loves it, clear a Condition, crank up the volume and add a Team to the pool if you all sing your lungs out.

  5. Matt Morton

    interesting. Here’s what I have:

Driver: First, you’re the one making all those driving checks. You get two other moves:

I’m the DJ: Your picks, your tracks. You (and Editorial) control the real-life playlist for as long as you hold influence on the majority of passengers. This move can be removed by majority consensus.

I’ll Turn This Thing Around!: If you make a big deal of your driving-ness, you can give someone influence over you to make them mark a condition you have.
