Is there a PBtA game for The Game of Life? I don’t mean playing the boardgame literally, but a PBtA game where you play an ordinary person living an ordinary life… That of course doesn’t stay that way after the MC starts making the hard moves!

There’s The Hood.
The Hood would be closest to this — you play city dwellers trying to get by while cutting corners and occasionally (read: often) cheating to stay afloat. Its a really cool game, and it was recently rereleased in ‘director’s cut’ edition with expanded materials.
Link?
The link I have connects to something called superhuman…
Its on DriveThru http://www.drivethrurpg.com/product/151133/The-Hood-Directors-Cut
and you can search the designer’s website for some of his thoughts http://groundhoggth.blogspot.com/
Not PbtA, but Five Fires is about being a hip hop artist and trying to solve community issues with your art. It’s a pretty solid “ordinary life” game that actually seems fun to play.

Spirit of 77
There is Sagas of the Icelanders
In which you play an ordinary Icelandic person in a more ancient time period

Not a pbta but Fiasco?
One could try to make a “Soaped by the Apocalypse” hack for normal hospital, law company, countryside, music business drama ^___^
I’m making one set in Rural Quebec called Poutine. It’s currently in playtest.
Is it weird that these all sound Awesome!!??
Adam Robichaud, you’re making that a PbtA game? When I played with Kelley Vanda at Forge Midwest it had almost no rules… Were we playing it wrong?
If it’s being turned into an AW hack, that’s news to me!
Adam Robichaud If you want some fresh eyes, I have two!
None of the examples so far sound like “normal life”.
I’ve never heard of this “normal life” thing outside of fiction.
The hood is a pretty good one, I’m reading it now.
I see how your ordinary people, but your still criminals, anyone tried using the hood for “non-criminals”?
are there any Apocalypse games where your not criminals but still ordinaries?
Kelley Vanda , Dylan Clayton: Technically, Poutine was built on an MC-less version of PbtA (similar to Dream Askew), though you’re right… It’s a pretty far stretch from PbtA in its current incarnation. I’m adding things which are giving it more structure all the time, but it’s still pretty similar to what you played at Forge Midwest.
