How come no one is talking about how the Deliquent and the Protege?
They can get an additional +2 to their stats! That is HUGE, isn’t it?
The Janus can get an additional +1.

Was wondering about that. On the other hand that means they’re less likely to fail and less likely to advance as quickly.

The Bull had +2 Danger as an advancement in v2, too, now replaced by being able to pick up Drives from the Beacon.
They’ve always felt a bit out of line, and I’d prefer the remaining ones go the way of the Bull. I’m not overly concerned balance-wise, it’s just that as advances go, flat stat boosts are incredibly boring. I’d rather see diversification, new avenues of character expression and new influences on playstyle over a net gain to core effectiveness any day.
Maybe another power option from their list to represent their growing skill?
Well, several other advances give +1 to a stat and another important thing at the same time, so it doesn’t seem overpowered. The Protege one is also focused on the mentor’s labels, so it clearly means something in the fiction. The Delinquent one seems a little bit boring to me, though.
