Time for a little sneak peek at the upcoming update!
Ministerial Injunction – Mindless Threat
The Ministry can lay an injunction on any perceived threat to social order while they observe, research, and assess. Targets caught under a Ministry edict find themselves locked out of travel, commerce, information services and entertainment. Unless overcome, Injunctions can last years, possibly decades.
Agenda: Prevent acquisitions, restrict information, deny travel clearance.
“What do you do?”
Oh man I dig this so hard.
Ministry Informants – Passive Threat
They could be anyone. The tech refueling your ship. The restauranteur handing you a bowl of noodles. The grey caste servant cleaning the floors. On most worlds, the Ministry’s eyes and ears are everywhere. They’re harmless as long as you’re not a threat.
Agenda: Eavesdrop on conversations. (Report suspicious individuals).
Rasoom agents – Intelligent Threat
Also known as the “Final Protocol”. The Rasoom are called in to “clean up” dissidents, rabble-rousers and other threats to social stability. They are experts of both stealth and hacking. When the Rasoom eliminate a target, they also eliminate all records of that target’s existence.
Agenda: Eliminate targets, erase data about targets (remain unseen).
Standard Equipment:
– Sniper Rifle (Class 2 Rifle – Scope, Silenced)
– Silenced Pistol (Class 1 Pistol – Silenced)
– Stealth Suit (Class 1 Uniform Attire – Stealthy)
– Hidden Knife (Class 0 Melee – Concealed)
– Infiltration Kit
Update?
Does this mean we’re close to see’ing carta?
Oof, not the whole of Carta, that’s a full book. Not only that, but it’s mostly fiction (less playtesting, a LOT more writing)
But yes, there’s a chapter preview coming out soon. The argle-bargle with Canada Post and customs is sapping my little free time/will to live, however. Sending the books out comes first.
lol, possibly getting excited here. I’ve been pouring over the book for the last few days getting ready for Conception here in the UK.
I hope the issues with customs goes away soon and you can get back to it being a fun experience.
