This is for the fantastic write-up of the Alchemist archetype by Sean Hess. I love what’s there, it’s just a bit incomplete. I hope that he doesn’t mind me finishing it and that it still fits in his vision of it.

  1. Damn, I knew I’d forgotten something. the alchemist belongs to Power.

For the Quick Scribing thing, an alchemist usually takes about a minute to draw a circle to do alchemy (they’ve got to put in all the runes and symbols and stuff). This allows them to draw a circle much more quickly. the MC calls on exactly how long it takes and they can probably only do simple transmutations with it.

I’ll edit the PDF and re-post it.

  2. You can just reupload the PDF to the same GDrive file. Then it is updated when someone clicks on it again and you don’t need to share it twice with the community.

  3. You have to inscribe the circle either directly on the thing you’re transmuting or have it within the circle. So unless you want to limit yourself to picking up pebbles, putting them inside the circle in your hand and then transmuting it, yes.

  4. I would think so. You could only change something that’s within the circle, though. So if you want to turn that bit of metal into a knife, you could only use the part delineated by the circle and neither could the knife be bigger. You couldn’t use a small circle in the corner of something to alter the whole thing.
