Hamish Cameron I just noticed the Black ICE option that does harm to a jacked in hacker has +AP. Wouldn’t that make the 1 Armor from Neural Scars useless? I don’t see another way for Black ICE to do damage to a Hacker.

  1. Neural scars specifically says that it counts against Black ICE. It’s the only thing that does, as well as being the only thing neural scars count against.

  2. The +AP tag is to indicate that regular armour doesn’t count, because that’s always a question players ask, regardless of how obvious it might seem in the fiction 🙂

  3. So it blocks armor piercing effect in this case? Ok, it wasn’t clear. I wouldn’t expect armor on your skin to help vs a wire plugged into your head anyway. Ha, you answered that at the same time, okay.

  4. So can the MC pick the damage option multiple times, I assume? Then some damage could get through even neural scars, assuming the damage was totaled before being applying damage.

  5. Oh yes, I forgot I’d reduced damage dealt by Black ICE…

I think I’ll leave that one open to interpretation, although I will note that the hacker will have to make the harm move (as always), so no matter which way you rule it in your game, the hacker could take harm (or worse).
