Other Places is a YouTube series about digital environments, and they just put up a video for Deus Ex: Human Revolution.

Certainly good mind-fodder for The Sprawl. Might be cool to just put this up on the TV and let it loop during play, too.

  1. As an aside- If it wasn’t for finding a $4 copy of Deus Ex: Human Revolution a month ago (on my way out of the mall after seeing Deadpool), I wouldn’t have had the cyberpunk flame ignited to the extent that I bought The Sprawl.

Up to that point, I was perfectly content waiting (a bit impatiently) for Interface Zero for Fate to get finished. I was mostly okay with fiddling with the stuff I had (including the Interface Zero Alpha for Kickstarter backers, The Sprawl Beta that I found somewhere, 20th Anniversary Shadowrun, and Nova Praxis, etc.) until the finished version of Interface Zero for Fate was ready.

Then, Deus Ex: Human Revolution happened, and even though it isn’t the type of game I will play much (it was good, but FPS makes me motion sick if I play for very long), it was like a cyperpunk explosion for my brain.

Suddenly I started jonesing for the finished version of Interface Zero for Fate like a junky whose brain is screaming for the next fix.

I couldn’t take it anymore, I needed something that was not Shadowrun, was not Nova Praxis, and wss not an Alpha/Beta version.

The Sprawl whispered to me and I said no… Interface Zero for Fate will be here soon.

The Sprawl said that I could love them both, but I had already paid for Interface Zero, and didn’t want to pay money for another.

The Sprawl reminded me that the PDF wasn’t too expensive on DTRPG, and I said that I would think about it.

The Sprawl begged me… I added it to my cart and started checking out… I deleted it from my cart.

The Sprawl cried… I comforted it… put it back in my cart… checked out… downloaded it… read it… loved it…

I still look forward to Interface Zero, but now I wait patiently, knowing that what I have has temporarily silenced the voices…
