Watching Samoa Joe get increasingly mad at the ref and medical staff about the cut makes for great drama. Makes him out to be even more of a lunatic brawler and really is well nothing compared to his Necro Butcher matches in regards to violence but adds a nice touch to the match.

Agreed.
I’d rate that a 4 out 5. A good match that somehow the new protocol of trying to clean up cuts made things more dramatic and interesting. Joe’s aversion to being helped out added to that.
That fact the ref is a former deathmatch wrestler made his concern about it kind of funny. I mean you wrestled in CZW, this level of blood was what you’d see in the 3rd match.
Did we ever see what happened to that poor security guy that Balor landed on when Joe tossed him over the barricade?
Jason K Agreed on all points, esp re: Drake.
Chad Stevens He’ll come back later in the year, seeking revenge. #BookItLikeAComicBook
Let’s be fair to Younger here. He probably likes his job and he was probably trained to watch out for blood around the eye area because that’s where long-term damage can happen.
The irony, however, was delicious.
Justin Phillips That’s awesome.
